Nam Theun 1 HPP commissioning

Another great achievement for ATB Riva Calzoni: commissioning of Hydromechanical Equipment and Steel Penstock of Nam Theun 1 Hydropower Project (Laos), 670 MW, has been successfully completed!

ATB Riva Calzoni scope of work included the design, detail engineering, manufacturing, delivery, installation and commissioning of the complete Hydro Mechanical Equipment and steel penstock of the dam built on a tributary of the Mekong River, Laos.

Since August 2022 Nam Theun 1 HPP is in commercial operation, producing renewable energy for the local people in Laos and Thailand.
