The 2.4m penstock is installed in a 551 m deep shaft, named Alfalfal II, one of the deepest shafts in hydropower projects all over the world.
The penstock is manufactured with high tensile strength steel (S 690 QL), has a design head of 1,280 m and a maximum wall thickness of 57mm.
