From October 15th to 17th we will be in Gdansk, Poland, ATB Riva Calzoni (Large Hydropower department) will participate in Hydro 2018 Conference. Exhibition will take place in the AMBEREXPO centre, a short distance to the north of the old city of Gdansk.
HYDRO 2018 will be the 25th in Aqua~Media’s series of international events hosted in Europe, and will once again the most international gathering of the year specifically for the Hydro-mechanical profession, with representatives from around 80 countries participating to exchange experience on current challenges and recent achievements.
The past years have seen an upsurge of activity in the field of Hydro-mechanical equipment, particularly in the less developed countries, and it is clear that international collaboration has played a major role in this. Hence sub-theme for HYDRO 2018 is ‘Progress through Partnerships’. Topics specifically on that theme will include: cross border collaboration; technology transfer and training; private sector investment; and, the role of regional organizations and power pools.
The delegations present will represent nations at different stages of hydropower development, including the pioneering countries who developed major schemes several decades ago, those who have major programmes under development now, and those with large amounts of unexploited potential, and development plans for the near future. An exchange between these delegations will lead to constructive discussions, new business partnerships, and progress in advancing energy generation.
